Okay so I've been wanting to do this blog thing for a while now, but believe it or not we still have dial-up at our house and that has been enough of an annoyance to keep me from trying. But I perservered, and now here I am! :)
There is alot I want to share but I'm not sure where to start. Craig just back from a mission trip to Nicaragua last week. He said his experiences there were truly life changing. He spent his time at an orphanage in El Canyon and with a wonderful native Pastor who served at the church across from the orphanage. He said the trip truly redefined the meaning of poverty and helped him to realize how truly blessed we are. There were 180 families living at a landfill there who survive on what they can find in the trash to eat and sell. They have even built a school there b/c there are so many children.
The best thing that happened while he was away (in my opinion) was to change his heart about adoption.! This is something that has been on my heart for at least 5 years but I have been waiting (patiently!) and praying for God to soften his heart on the issue. I knew that adoption was a stressful and expensive process and he would not commit to it unless it was God. Well when he got home I read a letter he had written to me while in Nicaragua. He was ready to adopt! God had stirred his heart while ministering to the precious children there! Thank you Jesus! So now I am in the process of researching agencies and praying that God would reveal where He wants our little girl to come from!
